Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Soh Wei Yu, based in Singapore, who runs ApplyWise ("we", "us"). They're written to be short and readable. You need to agree to them, and to our Privacy Policy, before using ApplyWise.

Who can use ApplyWise

• You must be 13 or older.
• If you're under 18, please make sure you understand these terms, and ask a parent or guardian if anything is unclear.

The service

• ApplyWise suggests edits to your resume and drafts answers and cover letters for job applications, using AI. It also helps you keep track of your applications.
• It's currently free during early access. Features may change as we improve it.
• AI credits: AI features use credits. Free credits have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and we may change how many you get or what things cost. If an AI request fails, its credits are refunded automatically.
• If we introduce paid plans, we'll show the price, what's included, how renewal works and how to cancel before you pay, and you'll agree to those terms separately.

Your account

• You sign in with your Google account and are responsible for activity on it.
• One account per person. Don't share it or create extra accounts to get more free credits.

Fair use

Please don't:

• try to break, overload, hack or scrape ApplyWise, or access it with bots or scripts;
• resell or redistribute ApplyWise or what it produces as a service to others;
• upload content that's unlawful, or someone else's personal data without their permission;
• use ApplyWise to mislead employers, for example by claiming experience you don't have.

When you use the browser extension on job sites, you're responsible for following those sites' own terms.

Your content

• Everything you put into ApplyWise, and everything it writes for you, is yours.
• You confirm you have the right to use what you upload.
• You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you, as our Privacy Policy describes.
• You're responsible for what you send to employers. AI suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. Check everything before you use it, and only claim experience you actually have.

Our stuff

The ApplyWise name, logo, design and software belong to us. You may use them only as part of using the service.

No guarantees

ApplyWise is provided "as is" and "as available". We can't promise interviews, offers, or that the service will always be available, error-free or keep your data forever. Keep your own copy of important documents (download your resumes as Word or PDF).

Limits on our liability

• To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed job opportunity, lost income or lost data.
• To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or S$50.
• Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't legally be limited.

Ending things

• You can stop using ApplyWise and delete your data at any time (Settings → Delete everything).
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.
• If we ever shut ApplyWise down, we'll give you reasonable notice so you can download your resumes.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If there's a problem, please email us first and we'll try to sort it out. Otherwise, the courts of Singapore will decide.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we'll update the date above and ask you to agree to the new version before you continue using ApplyWise.
